Fans of Coronation Street have witnessed Roy Cropper’s health struggles over the past few weeks. It appears that things change when Evelyn is forced to call an ambulance in scenes that will air the following week.
Roy Cropper (played by David Neilson) has been a fan favorite in the ITV soap opera ever since he made his debut in Weatherfield back in the 1990s.
However, viewers are now concerned that the character may be dying after becoming ill.
The owner of Roy’s Rolls last month felt strange and left his friend Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) during their dance lesson.
He visited Dr. Gaddas (Christine Mackie), clutching his chest, and explained that he was having chest pain and shortness of breath.
Even though tests were planned to identify the problem, Roy’s health suddenly deteriorates.

Nina (Mollie Gallagher) reveals that Roy is anxious about taking his new pet Freddie for a walk in upcoming scenes.
Evelyn offers to go with Roy on his stroll to ease Roy’s anxiety out of concern for her friend.
However, as soon as they start walking, Roy begins to experience excruciating chest pains once more.
Freddie sees a cat and flees as Evelyn implores him to follow up on the appointment with the heart specialist.

The pain in Roy’s chest, however, causes him to stop short and realize that something is wrong. Evelyn then promptly calls for an ambulance.
Given that actor David Neilson previously discussed a possible exit for Roy Cropper, it appears as though this may be the start of Roy Cropper’s demise.
He responded at the time, “Obviously, I’m 72. We had a scene with the hearse pulling up when Corrie broadcast the funeral for Norris.
‘I’m really sorry that I won’t get to work with him again,’ I thought because of Malcolm Hebden.

“However, this offers me two exits: one for David and one for the character.
“I hope they won’t, but maybe they will. Roy leaving will undoubtedly cause a stir.
It plays a significant role in both your life and popular culture. He will be cherished for a very long time.
