Recently, Ryan has been having trouble recovering and has hidden out in Carla Connor’s (Alison King) apartment out of fear that people will stare at his scars.
He recently learned that Daisy had catfished him into thinking Crystal was still interested in him, which only made matters worse.
Speaking with Max Turner (Paddy Beaver), who had access to Daisy’s old phone and discovered the messages, he came to understand the truth.
Ryan sobbed as he confronted Daisy, calling her a “mean” person who didn’t care about other people’s feelings.
Daisy tried to explain what she did, saying that the only way she felt close to him was by trying to aid in his recovery.
He threatened to tell Daniel about the two kisses they had shared out of rage, but he changed his mind because he knew Daisy still mattered to him.
After telling Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) that going back to work at the Bistro was an important part of his recovery, Ryan is scheduled to start this week.
His optimistic outlook is quickly undermined, though, when he overhears Leanne berating a client after she complained about Ryan’s scars.
Leanne gives Ryan their new wine list project after she has left and given herself some time to reflect. She also offers for him to work in the kitchen for the time being.
Rose, their supplier, admits she had already followed Ryan on social media and thought he was attractive as Ryan strikes up a conversation with her.
Ryan becomes anxious when Leanne quickly informs him that Rose will be entering the Bistro, but is she the new beginning he needs?
