Fans of Coronation Street have noticed that a Weatherfield resident who has been prominently featured in a major plot line for the past few weeks has gone missing.
Residents of Coronation Street Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) have been attempting to heal from their ordeal with Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still).
Ryan has been living with his aunt Carla Connor (Alison King) ever since the acid attack because his mother Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) was unable to come back and take care of him.
While Ryan has struggled with his recovery and Carla has done everything she can to support her nephew, viewers of the ITV soap opera were thinking about something else.
Since Ryan moved in, many fans started to wonder where Peter Barlow (Peter Gascoigne) had gone.
When Carla had her mental breakdown—which was actually Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) spiking her drinks with LSD—he was last seen trying to help her get better.
Reddit user Art-Dandelay posted the following query: “Where is Peter? Was this explained to you? Why hasn’t Peter been spotted in his own apartment for the past six weeks since Ryan moved in?
Majesticjewnicorn concurred and said: “Bit strange for Peter to leave his wife—who he believes recently suffered another bout of psychosis and believes is mentally fragile—to take care of her nephew—who is recovering from an acid attack—all by herself.
The previous day, I had this thought, according to Notwowayssssss. How is it that he just got up and left while his wife is in recovery from a mental breakdown and his married nephew has been attacked with acid?
lvemelittlemore said, “I had higher expectations of Peter… Where the hell has he gone? I thought he’d stick around for his family. (sic)
He’s off on some sort of boys’ trip, though it’s unknown who those boys may be, as Impossible-Hawk768 revealed in earlier episodes, but two Reddit users were paying attention. He hasn’t been spotted outside the Street with a group of friends.
Calculatingmacaw stated once more: “Carla said last week that he is traveling outside of the Street with some friends on a boy’s trip.
“She called him on the phone and inquired about how things were going and whether any women were present; he appeared to respond negatively.
“I don’t know what’s going on because Chris seems to be taking a break, but he hasn’t really had a big storyline for a few months now, aside from a supporting role in Carla’s psychosis, so maybe it’s just a quiet patch for his character and he’ll be back for something big soon, fingers crossed!” (sic)
