Viewers of Coronation Street have seen Ryan Connor and Daisy Midgeley get closer over the past few weeks, leading to a few private kisses. However, it appears that Daisy’s fiance is about to learn everything in scenes that will air the following week.
The two had developed a close connection ever since Ryan Connor (played by Ryan Prescott) was attacked with acid meant for Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
However, after Daisy began catfishing Ryan by posing as Crystal (Erin Austen), who turned him down, things have become more challenging.
When the two have a secret kiss, viewers of the ITV soap opera witnessed the boundary between reality and fiction begin to blur for Daisy.
The barmaid couldn’t help herself, even when her fiance Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) advised her to quit ‘being’ Crystal.
Ryan was catfished, but when she realised it, she panicked and blamed Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) and his sister.
Although it appears that the truth is going to come out in scenes that will air the following week as Ryan seeks retribution.
Daniel pays Ryan a visit at the flat after learning that he is having difficulties and wonders why he doesn’t want to meet Daisy given that they were formerly close friends.
He thinks quickly and admits it’s because he’s been in a terrible place ever since learning the truth about being a catfish since he didn’t want to admit they had kissed.
Daisy, feeling terrible, is urged to visit Daniel, but when she arrives, Ryan leans in for a kiss and confesses his love for her.
Just when Carla (Alison King) enters the house, Daisy finds herself returning his kiss without removing her lips.
Later, after speaking with Max (Paddy Bever), Ryan realises that Daisy was actually impersonating Crystal all along.
Daisy confronts her angrily and says that Crystal made it clear she didn’t want anything to do with him after the attack.
Ryan is incensed despite her claim that she merely tried to protect his feelings.
She maintains her objectives behind what she had been doing were noble as he expels her in a fit of wrath.
He informs Daisy that Daniel should know everything about their kisses since he doesn’t believe her and storms off, leaving her scared at what is going to happen.
Will Ryan’s rage lead him to seek retaliation on Daisy? Or will he be prevented from hurting her by his undeniable feelings?
ITV will continue to air Coronation Street at 8 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
