The inhabitant of Weatherfield has been shown with a wound on her head and makeup dripping down her face, indicating the ordeal will be terrible.
Although the identity of her captor is unknown, it’s likely that Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) is linked to them.
Fans of Coronation Street will recall that Spider, Toyah’s boyfriend, went undercover to reveal Griff to be an extremist. Martin Hancock.
Finally, Spider’s identity was made known, and Griff was apprehended for attempting to detonate a bomb at a market on the cobbles.
Griff may still crave vengeance even if he served time in prison and eventually revealed to Spider where his radical gang’s funding came from.
Planning the kidnapping and assault of Spider’s partner Toyah seems like the best possible approach to harm Spider.
