In Coronation Street, Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) are engaged in a tearjerking legal battle against acid attacker and stalker Justin Rutherford.
Ryan received more than he bargained for in tonight’s (June 2) episode when Daisy unexpectedly kissed him. Tensions were already high.
It had been Ryan’s turn earlier in the day to speak on the witness stand and provide his side of the story, outlining how the acid attack had changed his life and going over what had happened on that awful day.
He was subjected to challenging questions from Justin’s defence attorney, who was intended to make him look bad by implying that he and Daisy were in love with each other.
The defence attorney said that Ryan had personally acquired the acid and intended to use it on Justin, but ended up getting a direct hit from the corrosive material instead.
Someone came over with a glass of water, which prompted Ryan to lose his cool and have an outburst as he started to become more upset.
Before deciding to continue testifying against his attacker, he expressed regret to the judge.
When Justin next entered the witness stand, he reiterated what his lawyer had said, presenting it as fact, and accusing Ryan and Daisy of hatching this plot to harm him together.
Daisy followed Ryan out of court as he hurriedly left, unable to take the falsehoods any longer, and eager to see how he was doing.
Later, Ryan requested that Daisy meet him in the ginnel behind the Rovers so that he could apologies for getting tangled up in court.
Daisy emphasised that he wasn’t to blame because the barrister was obviously aware of what she was doing.
Daisy was eager to forgive Ryan after he later apologised to her for the remarks he had made to her prior to the trial.
Ryan was completely taken aback when Daisy leaned in to kiss him when he was talking about how he was feeling and how even sobbing hurt due of his wounds.
Daisy was left to confront her fiance Daniel, who was completely oblivious of what had just happened, after Ryan instantly rushed away.
Daisy, do you feel something for Ryan?
