As soon as Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) learns she is pregnant, her horror on Coronation Street only becomes worse.
Given that Sarah just revealed to Adam (Sam Robertson) about her relationship with Damon (Ciaran Griffiths), this isn’t ideal.
Adam vowed to make an effort to mend his relationship with Sarah, but it hasn’t been simple. Seeing Damon almost every day while he works on the cobbles is difficult for Adam, and this most recent development could make matters much worse.
This week, Adam’s emotions are again put to the test. He meets up with Niall, who participated in the car theft with Damon and Paul (Peter Ash) a few weeks previously, as his resentment towards Damon grows.
When he tells Niall that Damon intends to expose him and let the authorities know about his role in the vehicle insurance scam, will he put himself in danger?
Sarah is sitting with Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) in another area of the pub when she starts to sip her wine and is suddenly struck with sickness, making her question whether she might be pregnant.
When Adam gets home, Sarah looks at her positive pregnancy test, and he is shocked to learn that his wife is unsure of the father.
Will Adam show up to support Sarah when she has her DNA appointment this week? Sarah tries her best to be upbeat as she goes to her appointment.
The outcome can ultimately be either positive or negative, but how will Adam respond if Damon is the father?
Will he potentially leave Sarah all alone or can they continue to mend their relationship?
Tina O’Brien told us, “It’s just the worst thing that’s ever happened because she knows it’s a 50/50 situation and she has no idea whose the baby is.”
She knows that one of the occasions she slept with Damon, she didn’t use protection, thus it’s more likely to be Adam’s since they’ve done so more frequently. At this point, she recognises that she has essentially blown up her entire existence; it is her worst fear.
It’s so interesting, it’s definitely more interesting if it’s Damon’s, but for Sarah’s happy ending I’d like it to be Adam’s!, Tina said when asked if she preferred Adam or Damon to have the kid.
