Jack James Ryan, a former cast member of Coronation Street, has spoken up about a family bereavement that devastated him.
The Jacob Hay actor shared the sad news that his beloved family dog, Frank, has passed away on his Instagram stories.
The touching image showed Jack holding Frank’s face as if about to kiss him, illuminating their strong relationship.
Jack wrote: “Utterly devastated to say we lost my best boy Frank today very unexpectedly to an aggressive cancer” beneath the picture.
He continued by calling Frank “the best friend a guy could ask for.”

Following the tweet, he posted a photo of Frank and his other two family dogs, referring to them as “The iconic trio.”
Early this year, Jack left Coronation Street as Jacob’s father, Damon (Ciaran Griffiths), joined the cast.
After getting rid of a significant amount of his dad’s narcotics, the character was compelled to depart in order to save his heartbroken lover Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney).
Speaking at the time of his departure, Jack admitted that leaving was “really hard” for him because he “loved the character so much.”
I still have a lot of time to do all the things I want to do.I also had the impression that I had accomplished my goal by coming.

I feel like he accomplished a lot in two years, aside from a wedding and the tram crash. Thus, it simply felt appropriate to leave the show at this point.
Jack enjoys the concept of delivering a bombshell into Amy’s life once she has settled down with a new partner in the future, even if he hasn’t completely ruled out a return to the Cobbles, adding that he would “never say never.”
I think getting the chance to clear his name would be awesome because he truly deserves it.
