As a cop in EastEnders, soap opera star Samantha Seager appears to be leaving the Cobbles for Albert Square.
Samantha Seager has taken on a new role on EastEnders, which will see her join the cast as a former Coronation Street celebrity.
Samantha, 48, will portray a no-nonsense detective whose goal is to bring down Navin Chowdhry’s character, Nish Panesar.
After a terrifying attack on his wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal), her character, DS Miles, is about to try and stop him in his tracks.
When the new character debuts the following week, Nish probably has a lot to be concerned about.
Samantha will be remembered for her rivalry with Cilla Battersby (Wendi Peters), who she portrayed as Jodie Morton in the 2007 television series Corrie.

Three episodes of her new guest appearance in the BBC soap will air the following week.
This week, Nish escalated his abuse of Suki by standing over her nearly lifeless body.
Although she was taken urgently to the hospital, the actor claims that the couple’s problems are only going to get worse.
He claimed in an interview with The Mirror that when Suki’s affair with Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) is revealed, things will go “nuclear.”

He declared: “I think it’s going to be absolutely nuclear when Nish finds out. It will be terrible on so many levels.
“In his own mind, he feels humiliated, betrayed, cheated, and lied to. Nish is a narcissist, and he can’t handle things like that happening to him. If or when he comes out, I believe big things are in store.
Since leaving Coronation Street, actress Samantha, 48, has continued to work in theater and television.
She narrated the BBC One cooking program Eat Well For Less in 2020.
Additionally, she hinted at a different role on Instagram by posting a picture from a table read in which her name appeared next to the name of the character, “Kathy Barrie.”
First in-person audition for an acting position since December 2018, she declared. So happy.
“I’m working with one of my all-time favorite actresses, and she was even more incredible in real life, but I can’t say what it is just yet. Right now, I’m feeling very grateful.
