Dev Alahan from Coronation Street has supported Bernie Winter since she just barely avoided going to jail.
Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) of Coronation Street resumed their relationship when Fern Lindon (Gabrielle Glaister), Bernie’s identical twin, took her identity and started committing crimes in her place. The shop owner’s jealousy decides to surface, though, and the couple’s relationship may be in jeopardy.

Recently, Bernie filled up for Dev’s absent golf companion and surprised everyone by excelling at the game.
However, in future scenes, Bernie is enraged when she learns that Dev permitted her to win the golf match from Chesney (Sam Aston).
After confronting him, Dev declares that the team would be fortunate to have her and that she was fantastic.
Later, as Dev and Bernie left the golf practice range, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) believes Dev let her win once more, but Dev admits Bernie is a natural.

Bernie explains at number five why the Ladies’ Captain believes they will waive the membership fee and give her a scholarship.
Dev tries his best to appear happy for her, but after letting her go the first time, he can’t help but feel left out and envious.
Asha (Tanisha Gorey), observing her father’s actions at the store, advises Dev to be proud of Bernie’s golfing abilities rather than jealous.
Will Dev give up if Bernie finds out how unhappy Dev is with her success? Or will his arrogance cause her to leave, ending their relationship?

Due to Fern’s robberies last year, Bernie just avoided going to prison.
To make matters worse, Fern used Bernie’s name to carry out her nefarious actions in order to evade detection. However, when the authorities struggled to accept Fern’s innocence, Bernie was forced to uncover Fern’s existence.
Bernie, however, has a reputation for developing an addiction to things once she realizes she is naturally talented at them.
Will her golfing prowess drive a wedge between her and the people she loves? Could she possibly get herself into further difficulty in the future?
After his drug operation is discovered, Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) plans to make his dramatic “escape” from Weatherfield elsewhere in the cobbles.
At the Bistro, another delivery is accepted after Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) calls to ensure that the order is ready.
Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) is ordered to turn over the stockpile by two masked individuals who burst into the restaurant and point guns at him before the collection can begin.
Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), who is escaping with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Damon to find out what’s going on, is horrified and ducks beneath the table to call Nick, who hears the gunshots from the street.
A handler and sniffer dog arrive on the location as the police are informed of the threat.
Leanne is informed by Craig that they have detained two people they believe to be the gunman, and she instructs Nick to get rid of the narcotics.
Nick challenges Damon, who thinks it’s time to flee Weatherfield.
