Icons of EastEnders Adam Woodyatt and Michelle Collins recently reunited as they made their comeback after a 25-year absence from the soap opera.
Recently, Adam Woodyatt’s character Ian Beale and Michelle Collins’ character Cindy Beale appeared together on EastEnders for the first time in 25 years. The actor compared their reunion to “an old pair of slippers.”
Adam quipped to Express.co.uk and other press about how it felt to be back together with Michelle: “Working with Michelle has been, no offense, like putting on an old pair of slippers.
“Comfortable and simply effective. Tomorrow, she’s going to murder me, he joked.
The weirdest thing for me is that they have rebuilt the lot, he continued, mentioning another odd aspect of returning to the show.
The strangest thing, in my opinion, was when I got out of the car yesterday morning and asked, “Where is the square?”
Michelle also discussed working with Adam and reflected on the “old days” in her remarks.
I had a six-page scene with Adam, and yes, by the end of it, it was like slipping on a pair of worn-out slippers, the author admitted. I was incredibly nervous.
“And then it was quite funny because back then we would argue and talk about how we were.”
We would argue as we left our dressing rooms, on the way to the set, while we were there, and as we returned to our dressing rooms afterward.
She continued, “So we spent our whole life fighting, so it was kind of bizarre,” Adam comfortingly responding, “Yeah but we have gotten over that now.”
Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) learned that their mother was still alive during last night’s scenes.
Gina was informed of the truth by Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), who had been misinformed by Anna that she had discovered information about their mother.
She went to Peggy’s to get drunk to try to forget what she had heard because she didn’t know how to react to the news, but Anna and George soon came to pick her up.
Later, by telling Cindy that it was her last chance and leaving the girls to leave him, he unintentionally revealed that he was a contributing factor in why she never returned.
