The Gillian Taylforth character Kathy Beale has finally been able to start making final preparations for her wedding, and on Wednesday she made a wish regarding the guest list.
The steadfast EastEnders cast member exclaimed with joy to her family on Wednesday: “The more the merrier, I want everyone there – friends, family – a real celebration.”
And it wouldn’t be right without my son there, too, she quickly added. Ian must attend the nuptials.
Since making a shocking exit from the soap opera in January 2021, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) hasn’t been seen.
Will Bobby (Clay Milner Russell), who is adamant about making Kathy’s wedding fantasies a reality, be successful in persuading Ian to attend and meeting Kathy’s other guestlist expectations?
According to official BBC soap spoilers, Bobby will keep trying to assist Rocky in bringing guests to Kathy’s wedding to Walford.

As mourners gathered to pay tribute to the Albert Square legend, Ian watched from outside the church without the other guests’ knowledge.
He stood behind a tree and said, “Goodbye, Dot,” with tears in his eyes.
