At the end of the previous year, Danny Dyer’s tenure on the BBC soap opera came to an end, leaving viewers of EastEnders in tears. The actor hinted at a potential comeback despite the fact that his character Mick Carter has been assumed dead.
Things came to a dramatic end during the holiday special thanks to Mick (played by Danny Dyer) and the revelation of Janine’s (Charlie Brooks) lies.
Mick bravely dove in to save Linda (Kellie Bright) after she drove her car into the English Channel with her in it.
He first freed Janine, then, unaware that she had already managed to reach safety, he dove back into the water to try to save his love.
As the episode came to a close, Mick was nowhere to be found, and viewers realized he had perished at sea.
Linda recently received an official death certificate stating that Mick’s death was presumed even though no body had been found.

The soap star, however, hinted at the possibility of Mick making a comeback to Albert Square, suggesting that it might not be the end of him entirely.
Danny hinted in a statement to Radio Times that “I don’t regret leaving, but it was really emotional for me.”
“Mick’s exit felt like a true “full stop,” but it might have actually been a “dot, dot, dot”.”
Danny made his EastEnders debut in 2013 and remained on the BBC soap for nine years before announcing his departure.

In order to allay any rumors of a fallout, he informed his fans at the time of the announcement that he had made the decision not to have his contract renewed.
That’s all, the 45-year-old said. I love everyone, so it’s not because I’ve had a disagreement with anyone. I’m getting out of EastEnders. I’m extremely fortunate and appreciative.
When your contract for a job like making soaps is up for renewal, they always ask you to stay.
“Thank you so much for that. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go, so I know. It’s very difficult.

Viewers have seen Linda struggle to run the Queen Vic without Mick as she searches for a buyer for his portion of the bar since his passing.
Despite Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) offering to start a business with her friend, Nish (Navin Chowdhry) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) also made the same offer.
Linda’s mother intervened to stop the three from fighting over who would invest in the pub.
Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), who made her grand entrance this month, has already caused a commotion among the residents of Walford, including Nish.
