Elaine Peacock establishes a “Bride Club” in Albert Square because there are several upcoming weddings, but it is not very successful due to the tense relationship between Kat Slater and Sharon Watts.
Since Kat became engaged to Sharon’s ex-boyfriend Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), the relationship between Sharon Watts, played by Letitia Dean, and Kat Slater, played by Jessie Wallace, has become even more tense.
Relationships hit a new low the following week when Kat forces Sharon out of Bride Club despite the fact that both women are now prepared to walk down the aisle because Sharon is engaged to toyboy Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
It happens after Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) tries to assist every bride-to-be in Walford right now.
She asks George Knight’s daughters Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry) to be bridesmaids as she plans her own wedding to George Knight (Colin Salmon).
They have had a difficult few weeks as they have discovered some upsetting information regarding their mother’s disappearance.

Both girls have struggled to accept the fact that she isn’t who they thought she was, and Elaine believes that involving them in her wedding will help them.
However, neither sister is enthusiastic about the idea because they were against the union from the beginning.
George, who is aware of how hard it is for them both, begs her not to push it, but a dejected Elaine can’t help but feel frustrated that her ideal wedding is slipping away from her.
She seeks Kathy’s counsel and decides to postpone her wedding after receiving encouragement from the café owner.
Instead, she makes the decision to take on the role of fairy godmother for each and every other bride in the Square.

Sharon and Kat are getting ready to say “I do” to their respective partners, and Kathy is getting married to Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), so Elaine decides to start a Bride Club to help them plan their weddings.
Elaine is confident that this will be a great success because she planned a formal first meeting complete with hors d’oeuvres from Ravi (Aaron Thiara) and a blind wine tasting.
She hasn’t taken into account Kat and Sharon’s longstanding rivalry, however, and it doesn’t take long for the two to begin trading insults.
Sharon storms out of the club after Kat, who is not known for her delicacy, pushes it too far.

Kat has a conversation with Keanu and tries to give him advice on where he has been making mistakes in his relationship with Sharon in an effort to atone for her former love rival.
The mechanic is emboldened by Sharon’s words and makes a special effort to make up for his recent transgressions with her.
She is happy that he is so focused on their wedding and optimistic about the future.
It’s unclear whether the couple will actually walk down the aisle because a flashback scene from earlier this year confirmed that the murder of one of the Square’s male residents interrupts Sharon’s Christmas wedding.
