While hiding her true identity, Lola Pearce’s estranged mother Emma has been attempting to get to know her daughter.
As Danielle Harold’s beloved character Lola Pearce fights a deadly brain tumor in upcoming scenes, EastEnders viewers will have to say a sorrowful goodbye to her. She will have to make a difficult choice regarding her family’s values, though, when her mother Emma (Patsy Kensit) shows up at her door.
In the episodes airing the following week, Lola is called to Lexi Pearce’s (Isabella Brown) school and informed that her daughter’s classmate Maisie had been attacked by an unidentified adult.
She explains that Maisie’s harassment of Lexi regarding her mother’s health was the cause of the attack.
Lola worries that the attack was caused by her new online identity and wonders if starting a blog is the best course of action.
Later, Lola learns the identity of her mystery new customer and is shocked to learn that she has been talking to her mother the entire time.
The news has completely upended Lola’s world, and she is overtaken with emotion.
Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) ask the doctor to examine Lola after a week of torturous treatment.
As the day draws to a close, Lola is shocked to see Emma arrive at their door.
Lola is unable to hear the reality as Emma discusses her decision to leave her small daughter.
Will her daughter be able to accept the unexpected statement that the visitor makes regarding Lola’s upbringing?
Emma is thrilled when Lola agrees to see her for lunch later in the week.
When the estranged mother notices Lola’s uncertainty, she extends an invitation to Jay.
Jay is concerned about Emma’s candor over her time with Lola at The Vic.
It’s obvious that the mother wants to get to know her daughter as quickly as possible.
By looking over some old pictures, Emma and Lola continue to develop their friendship.
While having a great time, Lola becomes disoriented and nearly misses Lexi’s school presentation.
When Lola confides in Jay and Billy about the future, she becomes aware that she is exerting too much effort.
The single mother believes she must take a harsh course of action to prevent disappointing Lexi.
She makes the decision to cut back on her time with Emma.
But now that Emma’s motivations are obvious, how will she respond if Lola tells her she wants to cut back on their time together?
