EastEnders' Lola Pearce 'to die on her wedding day' as fans 'work out' tragic ending

With the ceremony airing on EastEnders in two weeks, Lola Pearce is preparing for her nuptials to Jay Brown.
Danielle Harold’s character Lola Pearce is presently engaged in a heartbreaking cancer battle. Before the diagnosis was public, the young mother made every effort to keep the truth from her daughter Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown), but her loved ones have come together to support Lola as she attempts to lead a normal life. On the beloved character’s wedding day, a tragedy, according to EastEnders fans, will happen.

In recent scenes, Jay proposed to Lola on Christmas Day and asked her to marry him in two weeks.

The hairdresser mentioned her desire to make the most of her chemotherapy breaks after just recently returning to work.

Lola acknowledged that as she accepts her terminal diagnosis, she wants to live life to the fullest while she still has the chance.

When she agreed, Jay was ecstatic, and the couple will quickly plan their wedding.

Recently, after proposing to Lola on Christmas Day, Jay asked her if she would marry him in two weeks.

The hairdresser, who had just started working again, mentioned her desire to make the most of her chemotherapy breaks.

Lola acknowledged that as she accepts her terminal diagnosis, she wants to take advantage of her remaining time on earth.

When she agreed, Jay was overjoyed, and the couple will plan their wedding quickly.

When Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) discusses Lola’s mother and the reasons she left, she unintentionally touches a sensitive nerve.

Fans of EastEnders will be aware that Patsy Kensit will be appearing in the soap as Lola’s mother Emma.

When the hairdresser was only three years old, Emma abandoned Lola and her father.

Patsy Kensit said the following in regards to joining the soap: “I’m ecstatic to be traveling to Walford for this plot. Being on EastEnders has always been a dream of mine. I’ve had a blast, and the cast, producers, writers, and crew have all been wonderful. I appreciate you having me, a lot.”

Executive producer Chris Clenshaw continued by describing Emma: “On the one hand, Emma is the exact opposite of her long-lost daughter, Lola, being measured and soft-spoken.

“However, on the other hand, there is a striking similarity; she is successful, has the strength to hold her own, and is a fighter, just like Lola.

“Emma becomes desperate to make up for lost time after a lifetime apart, but her hidden sadness and guilt are never far below the surface.
