A significant clue to the identity of the person who is murdered at Christmas will be revealed in a future episode of BBC’s EastEnders, according to actor Navin Chowdry who plays Nish Panesar in the show.
There are still six months until EastEnders reveals the identity of the victim of the upcoming Christmas murder, but actor Navin Chowdhry, who plays Nish Panesar, has already provided details about a scene that will do so.
Given that it was hinted at in a flash forward scene earlier in the year, viewers already know that a male resident of Walford will meet their maker on Christmas Day.
Six matriarchs from the Square—Denise Branning (Diane Parish), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), and Suki Panesar (Balvinder)—are depicted in the scene.
In the episode, Sharon is wearing a wedding gown, indicating that she is getting married, and she says, “He’s dead,” after checking the man’s pulse.
Viewers at that precise moment noticed his cufflinks, which reportedly provide a significant hint as to who the unfortunate Albert Square resident is.

In the upcoming weeks, Navin has hinted at a major scene involving the cufflinks that will reveal the identity of the corpse.
He admitted to the Mirror, “I am aware that Nish is the top contender to pass away at Christmas.”
He mocked, “I think the main clue is to follow the cufflinks.
“Follow the cufflinks. There’s some stuff we just filmed about them,” the person said.

The cufflinks in question have already been mentioned in the show, but he provided no further hints or an air date for the scenes.
After the flashforward, Phil was briefly seen wearing a suit and a cufflink that looked similar to the one in the clip.
Meanwhile, the show’s creator Chris Clenshaw has said that the flashforward scene contains more than one clue.
“I’m not going to give anything away that the episode hasn’t already given, but what I will say is that there were clues in there,” he said following the broadcast.

Did you take a close look? I implore you all to watch the scene again and take in every nuance,” he said.
If you look closely, you can find a few treats in the scene as well.
“What I’d also say is that a lot can happen in Walford between February and December,” he joked.
“Circumstances, relationships, and loyalties can change, so what you may suspect now could be slightly different as we move through 2023 and closer to Christmas,” the speaker said.
