In recent EastEnders scenes, Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) startled everyone by taking on Nish and Suki Panesar (Navin Chowdhry and Balvinder Sopal) in an effort to save her imprisoned husband Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick).
Billy was frightened that he might not get to see his granddaughter Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) before she passed away after breaking the Minute Mart’s window in a fit of grief-fueled wrath.
As Lola battles a brain tumour, her nurse informs her husband Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) that she would probably be unconscious for the majority of the time.
Honey dragged hard man Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to the police station, where they questioned local detective Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) about what had happened with Billy still being imprisoned.
Billy elbowed Jack in the nose as he was being detained, and Jack said he had no choice but to arrest him for assaulting a police officer.
After a night in the cells, Jack was ready to let him go with a warning, but he disclosed that Nish Panesar had provided a witness statement, meaning that the matter would be going to court.
This meant that convincing Nish to change his testimony would be the only option to free Billy.
Honey and Phil interrupted Nish’s client appointment in order to go over and help Billy see Lola one more time before she passed away.
Despite Honey’s pleading and the dire circumstances surrounding Billy’s case, Nish claimed that he needed a crime number in order for the insurance to reimburse him for the damage to the shop front. He also refused to retract his remark.
Honey confronted Suki Panesar and demanded that she tell her husband to retract the comment because she had no other options.
Honey recalled the day Suki had tried to kiss her and warned her that if she didn’t persuade him, Nish would find out about it. This was in response to Suki’s insistence that what Nish does had nothing to do with her.
Suki spoke with Nish in an attempt to get him to retract the remark since she was desperate to keep her kiss with Honey under wraps. Suki made the argument that going after the family of a dying lady would hurt their businesses.
Billy was finally able to be with Lola at her bedside because he was no longer in prison or under arrest. This allowed Lola to find the strength to tell him she loved him, breaking all of our hearts in the process.
