Viewers of EastEnders have observed how single mother Stacey Slater has been affected by the cost of living crisis over the past few months. She began secretly posting pictures of herself on an adult website as she struggled to stay afloat, though in upcoming scenes everything will be revealed.
Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) has experienced numerous setbacks in her life due to her financial struggles for months.
After discovering that Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) had been making money off of photos of his feet, Stacey began using Secret Cam, a website where users can sell explicit images in exchange for money.
Although she has been able to keep her family in the dark about her hidden income source, this will all be revealed in later scenes.
BBC viewers recently discovered that her teenage daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) was bullying another girl because she had experienced bullying herself.
The following week, when Lily refuses to go to school, Stacey takes action and suggests having Amy (Ellie Dadd) over for a sleepover in order to force her to go.
Stacey confronts the headmaster about her concerns after discovering that Lily is being singled out, and he invites her to the parent’s committee that evening to discuss the inappropriate behavior occurring at the school.
She does, however, cause a commotion when she is spotted by a group of students because some of them have access to her Secret Cam page.
Despite feeling ashamed, Denzil and Nugget (Jaden Ladega and Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) decide to tell Amy about the pictures, who then tells Lily everything.
Stacey is mortified when Lily confronts her when she gets home, in front of the entire family, who are horrified.
Stacey is too ashamed to face her family after her daughter revealed the Secret Cam images.
He counsels her to still go to the committee and face the critical parents in a conversation with Martin (James Bye).
Stacey decides it’s time to speak the truth at the meeting.
The Slater family is still tense, though, as her mother Jean (Gillian Wright) struggles to accept the cam work.
After being teased for her mother’s actions, Lily is visibly upset when she gets home from school and insists she wants to leave forever.
Although it appears that Stacey devises a strategy to assist her daughter, who is expecting.
After one night of sleeping together, the 12-year-old is now carrying Ricky Jnr’s (Frankie Day) child.
