Emmerdale baby twist as Kim Tate questions Gabby Thomas over pregnancy test

-

It becomes clear that one resident of the Yorkshire Dales village will soon hear the patter of tiny feet when Emmerdale’s Kim Tate discovers a pregnancy test at Home Farm.

When Kim Tate (Claire King) discovers a pregnancy test in a trash can at Home Farm the following week, she jumps to a major conclusion.

She immediately assumes it’s Gabby Thomas’ (Rosie Bentham) and confronts her, according to spoilers released for upcoming episodes of the ITV soap opera.

She reacts out of genuine concern for Gabby, the grandmother of her grandson Thomas, as she thinks Gabby might be expecting a child with her cunning ex-fiancé Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope).

It turns out, though, that the businesswoman is entirely going in the wrong direction.

It quickly becomes clear that the pregnancy test belongs to Kim’s stepdaughter Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), given the fact that she has been extremely ill.

Her husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) is overjoyed by the news and eager to celebrate as Dawn confirms that this is true.

Dawn’s admission that the time wasn’t right for them to have their own child last year put the couple through a rough patch, so hearing this news now, a year later, is very heartening.

They also had to deal with Meena Jutla, a serial killer, showing up at their wedding on Valentine’s Day (Paige Sandhu).

Billy was horrified when she gave him the option of killing Dawn or him.

But just before the ceremony, he declared that he is gay and that he doesn’t even love her.

He was dating Ally (Josh Horrocks) the entire time they were together, which only served to make matters worse.

As the father and son chose to remain in the village despite the havoc they have caused, she has been constantly reminded of the betrayal.

Will she be able to put aside her own pain and rejoice for Dawn and Billy?
