According to ITV’s official spoilers, things in Emmerdale take an unexpected turn when Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson), who has made plans to meet Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), for their major murder mystery convention.
Wendy later makes the effort to prepare something at the doctor’s office to commemorate Liam’s success in being nominated for a writing award, and Liam is touched by this.
The chemistry between them fizzes as the champagne cork pops, and as Liam turns on some music, the couple slowly spins toward one another.
Things between Wendy and Liam become passionate right after Anna Le Monde receives the Murder Most Murky New Crime Writer of the Year award.
While Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) start to rekindle their friendship after losing it due to the strain of working together, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) opens up to him.
There is a tender moment between Bob and Bernice after he tells her that he has always thought she is beautiful.
When Bernice becomes agitated, Bob quickly offers to top off her wine but she declines.
In response to their flirtation and growing chemistry, Bernice is horrified when Bob rejects her inebriated attempt to kiss him.
Bob leaves the room drenched in sweat and feeling guilty about the close call.
Later, Wendy finds it difficult to maintain composure as the guilt of cheating on Bob grows heavier.
Bob is also unable to control the emotions that his almost-kiss with Bernice has sparked.
The GP can’t hold back his desire for the nurse and unexpectedly kisses her, which complicates matters even more for Wendy and Liam. Wendy is shocked, but she can’t help but reply.
The following day, Bernice tells Bob that he needs to show Wendy that he cares about their relationship as they awkwardly avoid discussing their almost-kiss.
The actors who play Liam and Wendy opened up in an exclusive Q&A with Express.co.uk and other media about their adultery and how it will affect Bob.
When asked if Liam and Wendy share a bed, the two nodded as Jonny fessed up, “Just a bit.”
Afterward, when Susan was asked how she felt about Bob, she responded, “She feels terrible about that, she does love Bob, she does.
She is heartbroken about it and basically tells Liam to stop because it was a moment of insanity.
It was a lot of fun, but Liam doesn’t want it to end because she and Bob have a deep, meaningful relationship.
Will Bob ultimately learn about Wendy’s affair, and if so, will their relationship be able to withstand the betrayal?
