Bob Hope and Wendy Posner, a couple from Emmerdale, may end up divorcing after the B&B owner learns his love is having an affair with Liam Cavanagh.
After bonding over his murder mystery book, GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) has begun to see Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) in a different light in recent Emmerdale scenes.
The nurse became involved right away when she learned he was writing a novel and they began collaborating after hours.
In contrast, according to ITV’s official spoilers, Liam and Wendy end up kissing after going to a murder mystery convention together.
The two then risk being apprehended after having a passionate moment at work. Things don’t end there, either.
Will Wendy be able to resist the GP despite Wendy’s best efforts to stop Liam from continuing their illicit relationship?
The actors who play Liam and Wendy opened up in an exclusive Q&A with Express.co.uk and other media about their adultery and how it will affect Bob.
When asked if Liam and Wendy go one step further in their relationship and sleep together, Susan simply said, “Yes.”
The actress described how it will impact Bob and said, “She feels terrible about that, she does love Bob, she does.”
She is heartbroken about it and basically tells Liam to stop because it was a moment of insanity.
Although it was a lot of fun, Liam doesn’t want it to end because she and Bob are in a serious, meaningful relationship.
“I realized the other day there is more to Wendy and Liam,” she continued, “because he knows about her past with the husband, her drug problem, and the year she spent in prison.
She tried to do the right thing and went to Liam and said, “I’ve got to hand my notice in. It was a while ago when her husband showed up and tried to blackmail her.
“You’re too good of a nurse, you’re not going anywhere, and your secret is safe with me,” he tells her.
“So, I think there is respect and understanding between the two of them,” she continued.
In the meantime, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) become more affectionate toward one another after a close encounter.
Will they be able to resist each other despite Bernice’s embarrassment over her colleague’s rejection?
