Gabby Thomas and Nicky, a couple from Emmerdale, have been preparing for their wedding, but the nanny is keeping a secret about who Nicky really is.
After her future husband finally admits he is gay, Gabby Thomas (played by Rosie Bentham) is about to have her world torn apart.
According to ITV’s official spoilers, Nicky (Lewis Cope) runs into Ally (Josh Horrocks), his true love, who suggests he marry him instead. Nicky appears shocked but keeps moving.
Nicky, who still hates the lie he is living, becomes anxious when his father Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) informs him that the goalposts have moved once more and that they will need to play a longer game.
But an irate Nicky tells his father that he wants out of the wedding and doesn’t want to go through with it.
The day after, as the families get ready for the big day, the wedding rumor starts, and Caleb introduces Adrian to Kim Tate (Claire King), he is subtly smug.
Caleb is pleased with how well his plan is working as the two get along.
In the meantime, Gabby is emotional as she tells Nicky how she wants him to formally adopt her son Thomas while wearing her wedding dress.
But at some point, the nanny breaks down and declares that he is gay and that the wedding must be called off.
When Gabby learns the news, Nicky’s confession completely breaks her.
Will Gabby eventually leave the village with Thomas after another failed relationship now that the news has been revealed?
Or, will Nicky finally reveal the strategy he and Caleb used to remove Kim Tate?
Fans have been speculating about what will happen next since Caleb and Nicky’s true plan was made public.
While some believe Kim has already discovered their plan, others believe Nicky will “double-cross” his father.
