The mother of Jai Sharma will soon arrive in Emmerdale, and Lin Blakley from EastEnders will play her.
On the eve of her son Jai’s (Chris Bisson) marriage to Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), Georgia Sharma (Lin Blakley) returns to Emmerdale to stir things up.
In place of Trudie Goodwin, Lin Blakley, a former EastEnders actress, will take on the role.
Will Georgia be able to mend this broken family as the wedding day draws near and the conflict between Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) and Jai shows no signs of ending?
Georgia will enter the village with a bang as she divulges a family secret, according to producer Kate Brook.
We’re thrilled to have an actor of Lin’s caliber take on the challenging Georgia role, Kate said.
She is a formidable force who will have a secret for the Sharmas that might shatter their entire world.

Jai’s mother was frequently brought up in the episode that aired on Wednesday night, and Laurel urged her fiancé to call her.
Laurel told Jai, “I wish I could make everything better,” as she made an effort to console him. I detest seeing you in this state.
Jai screamed, “I can’t get it out of my head… in his face,” when talking about his father.
“Do you think storming out like that was a little harsh?” Jai responded, “No, I was right to, he’s hiding something,” Laurel questioned.
Maybe you should give your mother a call, Laurel advised. “Call her, call her,” I said.
Laurel continued, despite his objections, “You’re going to have to speak to her at some point.”
