Following Jai Sharma’s demand for Rishi to reveal who his real father is, Emmerdale was rife with drama on Wednesday night. Jai Sharma still thinks Rishi is concealing something.
Fans of Emmerdale believe that Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel), the adopted father of Jai (Chris Bisson), may be hiding more than one secret from him.
In recent ITV soap opera scenes, Jai learned that Rishi was not his biological father and that he was an adopted child.
Despite the fact that Manpreet Sharma’s mother has never been seen on screen, some fans have come up with the crazy theory that she might actually be Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker), making the evil Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) his aunt.
Jai’s discovery that Manpreet had known he was adopted all along led to the theory’s exposure.
Jai’s mother was frequently brought up in the episode that aired on Wednesday night, and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) urged Jai to call her.
“I wish I could make everything better,” Laurel told Jai before adding: “I hate seeing you like this.”
“I can’t get it out of my head… in his face,” Jai fumed referring to his dad.

As Laurel questioned whether Rishi was hiding anything else, Jai said: “Yes, guilt written all over his face.”
Maybe you should give your mother a call,” Laurel advised. “Call her, dial her number. At some point, you’re going to have to talk to her.
When people discussed Jai’s storyline on Twitter, @phdannmarie posed the following question: “Jai just didn’t listen to Rishi he said Manpreet had known for years was he trying to tell him something?? Are they parents? #emmerdale.” (sic)

In the meantime, @charleezcat remarked, “#emmerdale have we seen Jai’s mother?”
Another theory was added to the discussion by @GeorgiaBowring, who tweeted: “#Emmerdale So let me get this straight: Rishi is Jai’s brother because Jai’s mother had an affair with her father-in-law.
