In upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Doctor Liam Cavanagh is about to focus his attention on a married villager.
Liam Cavanagh, who is portrayed by Jonny McPherson on Emmerdale, hasn’t been seen having a romantic relationship since his marriage to Leyla Harding, played by Roxy Shahidi, ended.
Since the brutal murder of his daughter Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger) by Meena Jutla, a convicted serial killer (Paige Sandhu), he has been missing.
His relationship with Leyla ended when she turned to drugs and required rehab admission.
Following the terrifying experience of her kidnapping, Leyla seems to have moved on with Emmerdale newcomer Caleb Milligan (Will Ash).
However, according to ITV soap opera spoilers, Liam will start developing feelings for an unlikely neighbor in upcoming episodes.
Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and Liam begin to get along when she learns a secret about the villager in yet-to-air scenes.
She discovers he has written books under the pseudonym Anna Le Monde.
When Wendy assists Liam with the conclusion of a short story, they enjoy each other’s company.
The doctor is surprised when Wendy tells her partner Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) a blatant lie so they can go to a murder mystery convention together.
Could this be the beginning of Liam and Wendy’s steamy romance on the ITV soap?
If the villagers learn that the two have been seeing each other covertly, how will they respond?
Express.co.uk’s Jane Hudson, the executive producer of Emmerdale, suggested Liam be referred to as “Dr. Love” in other press.
She teased, “There’s going to be something that I think will surprise you all. It starts off as quite a fun story, but at its core, there is something serious, which will come out later on.”
But it’s a fantastic tale. I can’t wait for you to watch that because we’ll get to see Liam and another character in a way we might not have before.
