Amy Wyatt of Emmerdale made the decision to surprise Matty Barton with a proposal earlier this year.
Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty Barton in Emmerdale, teased that major drama is about to rock his family.
ITV soap opera viewers saw Natalie Ann Jamieson’s character Amy Wyatt, Marry’s partner, propose to him in March.
She proposed, and he said yes, but there were questions about whether or not her motives were sincere because some believed she was trying to gain full custody of Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn).
Despite the fact that everything is going well right now, actor Ash hinted that things won’t stay that way for very long.
“We’ve got some really exciting stuff coming up,” he said at the TRIC Awards, “because it’s actually getting close to what we call Super Soap Week.”

He acknowledged that Emmerdale usually does something “big” for the week, so he couldn’t say too much.
According to him, my character Matty recently got engaged to his girlfriend Amy, so we’re hoping for a wedding soon, he said in an interview with The Mirror.
We are aware that there will be some family conflict as usual, but aside from that, I don’t see much else.
John Barton (James Thornton) and Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) have a young child named Matty.

Despite being known as Hannah Barton (Grace Cassidy) from 2009 to 2012, the character made a return to the community in 2018 after transitioning.
In addition to being the first transgender character on the show, Ash is also the first character to have transitioned.
The Emmerdale actor confessed he was asked to serve as a consultant for the soap opera about a trans character, which led to him auditioning. The soap star previously touched on how he got the role.
He once remarked to the Metro about playing his character: “I can’t quite believe it to be honest with you.

“I was aware that taking this role as an actor would cause quite a stir.
Particularly in a situation like Emmerdale, where the character is the first trans person to appear in a soap opera. It will undoubtedly divide people’s opinions. It’s something brand-new and unfamiliar to people. However, the response has been astounding.
Emmerdale will continue on ITV every night at 7:30 p.m.
