“My loyalties lie with Emmerdale.”

Today (January 5) Dominic Brunt, best known for his role as Paddy Kirk on Emmerdale, made an appearance on Loose Women to discuss his future on the program.
Fans were concerned about a potential departure even though Kirk has been a mainstay of the soap since 1997 after learning that Brunt would soon be in front of the camera instead of the Dales and directing horror films.
The actor made it clear that his time as Paddy will continue, and he will continue to put the soap opera first.
When discussing his passion for horror films on Loose Women, Brunt revealed that he has already worked on a few of them, with Wolf Manor, a British film, being his most recent endeavor.
He also made a suggestion that he appears in the movie and expressed his pleasure at working on the project with his wife, who served as producer, saying, “Emmerdale is all-encompassing, and it was nice to be able to be together.”
The actor who plays Marlon, Mark Charnock, and Brunt discussed their shared love of horror during their first day on set. Brunt also made light of the fact that he was only supposed to work on the show for eight episodes, saying, “I just think they forgot to tell me that.”

The actor and director admitted that, despite their love of horror, they would rather only work on a project every few years because films are difficult to make and their development frequently fails.
Most importantly, Brunt emphasized when asked if he would prefer to direct or remain in Emmerdale: “I really do have Emmerdale as my allegiance. Emmerdale makes me happy and I adore it.”
So, Paddy has a bright future ahead of him. It remains to be seen, though, whether he will overcome his problems or continue on a downward path.
