After his teenage daughter Cathy Hope started to rebel, Emmerdale legend Bob Hope had a lot to deal with.

Recently, Gabrielle Dowling’s character in Emmerdale, Cathy, revealed to Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) and Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) about her painful periods. But after some guidance, Cathy turned to Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker), who gave her a prescription for the medication that helped her symptoms. Official spoilers, however, have revealed that Bob (Tony Audenshaw) is taken by surprise when Brenda tells him something crucial about his daughter.
In forthcoming scenes, Cathy is starting to feel normal again and is having a little celebration with her friends for her birthday.
Bob and Brenda made the decision to observe the children, and Brenda soon informed Bob that Cathy had been using the pill to prevent her periods.
Bob chooses to talk to his daughter about her heavy periods at the party after feeling angry about being kept in the dark.
She becomes furious and angry after being upset and embarrassed, and Cathy tells her party attendees to leave.

“This is truly her first big narrative, and it’s a difficult one that I believe a lot of parents will relate to.
“I’ve never seen a soap perform this before. So Cathy is about to go on a major plot.
Theories about Cathy’s plot started to circulate right once, with many opting for a surprising DNA twist.
“I bet it turns out Cathy isn’t Bob’s daughter or Heath’s twin and there was a mix-up at the hospital,” Grace Seilding wrote in a Facebook remark.
“There is a scenario where two twins can have different fathers,” Ben Forest continued.
Bob may not be her real father, but Heath is, because the whole swapped-at-birth thing has been done before.
“Ooh, I like that idea,” Jenny Cook remarked. I don’t recall that ever being done before.
They would be fraternal twins, so this may be plausible if Viv cheated on Bob, Paul Skinner interjected.
Some ITV soap opera viewers, however, began to point out plot inconsistencies and questioned the validity of the baby-swap storyline.
They were born in a car or van out in the Moors, so Tim Steele countered, “Not much danger of their becoming confused with another set of twins!
stated Christian Mateo: “They wouldn’t mix up twins, in my opinion, would they? If it’s that, it would be a little far-fetched considering they appear so similar because they are twins in real life!” (sic)
