Will Ash, who portrays the ITV soap opera’s village villain Caleb Milligan, has teased whether or not viewers will get to meet his mysterious ex-wife.
The identity of Caleb Milligan’s (Will Ash) ex-wife has been the subject of months of speculation among Emmerdale watchers, with Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) and Tina Dingle (Jacqueline Pirie) being the two candidates.
Fans of the ITV soap opera may soon see the former flame of actor Will’s character in some upcoming scenes.
The enigmatical woman is his hidden son Nicky Milligan’s (Lewis Cope) mother, but will she make an unexpected entrance at his impending nuptials to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham)?
Since it was discovered that Caleb’s father was Caleb’s ex-husband Frank Tate (Norman Bowler), Nicky and Caleb have joined forces in an effort to bring down Kim Tate (Claire King).
Caleb believes that Home Farm is his birthright and holds Kim accountable for the tragic death of his father.
Will, the actor who plays Caleb, recently discussed Nicky’s upcoming, explosive wedding with Express.co.uk and other media outlets.
The actor responded that it would be “interesting” if his ex-wife showed up in the town and revealed why they split up.
There is obviously a plethora of history there, so I believe it would be intriguing to introduce that figure later on.
It would be lovely because Nicky sees the possibility of them reconciling but he won’t let it happen.
Will also inquired as to whether Caleb was exploiting the Dingles, his own family, for personal benefit.
“Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and the rest of the Dingles have been so good to [Caleb] but there is this darkness in Cain (Jeff Hordley) that because of being scarred as a baby there is just a real darkness inside of him,” Will continued.
“I believe [Caleb] truly wants to remain in the community. He loses sight of all else in his quest of Home Farm, becoming nearly greedy in his inability to see the wood for the trees.
He treats his son badly and puts him in a bad situation. He despises Kim, actually despises her.
ITV spoilers indicate that Nicky and Caleb will fight in upcoming Emmerdale scenes after Nicky cancels his wedding.
Nicky is gay and doesn’t truly love Gabby, so when his guilt overpowers him, he thinks he can’t go through with the marriage. Will this compromise Caleb’s strategy?
