In Emmerdale, Charity Dingle has a reputation for being erratic, and the ITV soap opera character seems as though she might make a “unconventional” choice once Mackenzie Boyd’s baby bombshell is revealed.
Since Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) first appeared in Emmerdale in 2000, she has been at the center of several significant storylines.
One of the village’s biggest scandals of the year is currently involving Charity, and it will soon be shown on television.
After a string of failed marriages, she is convinced she has “met her match” with her new husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and is utterly in love with him.
However, in upcoming scenes, she learns that he is the father of Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) newborn baby Reuben, shattering her world.
As Chloe got ready to give birth, she gave her a roof over her head, treated her like a daughter, and showed her trust.

When the truth about Mack and Chloe’s affair is revealed, how will Charity respond?
In a recent interview with Express.co.uk, Charity actress Emma discussed the character’s heartache and hinted that a “unconventional” romance might result from the situation.
Because they are all so interconnected, Emma said, “I have loved working with this guy [Lawrence] and Jessie as well. I don’t think that’s going to end anytime soon.
There will be times when, “Okay, maybe their relationship is in shambles right now, but I think the beauty of soap is that you always run into those people because you live in the same village unless, you know, somebody leaves or moves out or kills somebody, but hopefully that’s not going to happen,”

She added that “there’s always an aftermath” and imagined Charity and Mack soon going to “couple’s counseling.”
Emma questioned whether the couple would “try and make it work as a sort of strange, unconventional family” after everything was said and done.
Will Charity be able to put Mack and Chloe’s treachery behind her and learn to raise Reuben with them?
Could the three of them take care of Reuben as he grew older by working together?
Charity was desperate to have a second child last year, but Mack’s miscarriage broke her heart.
Reuben might be able to help her fill a void she’s had for so long.
