Exclusive: This week, Charity Dingle learned that her husband Mackenzie Boyd was the biological father of Chloe Harris’ child, shattering her world. Later this year, another curveball is expected to be thrown at the Emmerdale mainstay.
On Thursday’s dramatic episode of the serial drama, Charity Dingle from Emmerdale (played by Emma Atkins) learned the truth about Mack Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) affair with adolescent Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland).
Charity’s suspicions eventually bring the truth to light despite Mack and Chloe’s best efforts to keep their secret a secret until they were gone.
When Charity worked out, she had a hard time keeping her sadness to herself. Reuben was the infant son of Chloe and Mack.
She made the decision to confront Mack about it and chastised him for being an adulterer and a liar.
Charity decided it was time to eject him from her home despite his insistence that he loved her and wanted to be with her.
To confront Chloe about her lies, Charity visited the new mother and her child Reuben at the hospital.
Even though Chloe initially came off as contrite, she actually made matters worse by telling Charity she was moving to Scotland with Reuben and Mack.
Is Charity and Mackenzie’s relationship reversible, or will she never be able to forget his ultimate betrayal?
Recently, charity actor Emma spoke with Express.co.uk and other media outlets about a plot between the three characters that is expected to develop later this year.
We were informed that there is something we are not allowed to know toward the end of the year, she said. There is however still unfinished business.
But right now, none of the three of us are receiving any information.
Emma shared her thoughts after hearing about Charity’s suffering: “I think she has such issues with trust because of what she’s been through as a teenager.
And once more, I believe that will be made worse by the fact that she adopted Chloe and feels like she is seeing a reflection of herself in this young, pregnant teen girl.
Will Charity and Chloe be able to mend their relationship, or has the teenager destroyed it forever?
