Emmerdale’s Charles Anderson has family ‘torn apart’ as dad Victor causes a stir

-

This week, after serving a lengthy prison sentence, newcomer Victor was reunited with his son Charles Anderson in front of Emmerdale viewers. However, it appears in later scenes that not everyone in the family is happy to see his estranged father return.

ITV viewers recently expressed concern when village vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) began making ominous phone calls.

But on Thursday night, when he visited his father Victor (Eddie Osei) in a maximum-security facility, everything came to light.

After a tense exchange, it became apparent that there was a complicated past when Charles insisted his father avoid his family.

ITV viewers quickly realized Charles is concealing some information when Victor asked his son if he knew who he “really was.”

Victor sternly warned the Anderson family to stay away, but in upcoming scenes he set out to win them over.

Charles’ mother Claudette (Flo Wilson), who is upset by his presence in the community, quickly makes a promise to him that he will ensure his father leaves right away.

His daughter Naomi (Karene Peter), who has a different perspective on the new grandpa in her life and finds Victor endearing, disagrees.

Charles is enraged as he tells his father to leave after observing the new bond develop.

Naomi asks her father to explain why he despises Victor so much because she is perplexed by the apparent lack of love between them.

Naomi makes a commitment to stay away after learning the truth about the traumatic life he once shared with Victor and Claudette, but with the addition of a new family member, will she be able to keep her word?

Victor’s charm appears to have won over Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker), as she suggests that Charles give him a chance.

Will Charles be able to move past the past, though, given that it is clear that something significant has occurred between them?

Victor speaks with Claudette and tries to persuade her that he has changed, saying that he discovered god in jail.

Actor Eddie Osei said of joining the soap opera: “I feel privileged to be joining such a great show.

“It is an honor for me to be a part of the outstanding cast and crew. Playing Victor, a mysterious character who causes a lot of trouble for the Anderson family, is very exciting for me.

Given that Victor’s arrival turned the Andersons’ lives “upside down,” according to Emmerdale producer Hannah Cheers, it appears that he will stay around longer than Charles had hoped.
