Emmerdale’s Charley Webb lands first major TV role since leaving ITV soap

It is Charley’s first major role since leaving Emmerdale and Debbie Dingle behind

The first significant TV role for former Emmerdale star Charley Webb since she left the Dales has been made public.

Better, a brand-new BBC drama, will feature Charley, best known for her role as Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap opera. Even though Charley is playing a brand-new role, she won’t feel too out of place because the drama is set and shot in and around Leeds.

At the age of just 14, Charley began portraying Debbie Dingle, and she remained in the part for 19 years. Following the birth of her third child, Ace, the actress permanently quit Emmerdale.

Even though it appears that Charley’s Emmerdale days are behind her, her fans won’t have to wait long to see their favorite actress return to their screens because Better is scheduled to premiere on Monday, February 13.

Elise will be played by Charley, though not much is known about her character just yet. She will co-star with Leila Farzad from I Hate Suzie and Andrew Buchan from This England.

The tale of one woman’s fight for redemption and attempt to regain the honor and integrity she gave to a man many years ago is preferable. The story is being produced by studio Sister, formerly known for the Sky show Chernobyl. The drama’s writers are Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent, known for Humans and Spooks.
