Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy Metcalfe in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, has admitted that she has started crying on set since her return from maternity leave.
Amy Walsh, who portrays Tracy Metcalfe on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, has acknowledged crying when she first returned to the show after her maternity leave.
In December 2021, the actress gave birth to her first child with Toby Alexander-Smith, a former EastEnders actor who portrayed serial killer Gray Atkins.
The new mother, however, found it difficult to leave her daughter Bonnie when she returned to the Dales.
“To me, the hair and makeup team is like a sisterhood. She told the press, including Express.co.uk, “I’ve shed a few tears in the makeup chair from pure exhaustion or dropping my child off at nursery.
“We won’t do your face first, we’ll do your hair,” they said when I entered in tears.
Like all new mothers, Amy is adjusting to the sleepless nights while acknowledging that “it’s hard!”
“I thought I used to be tired; I used to always whine about it, but now I’m wondering, ‘How am I doing this?'”
I won’t lie, it’s difficult, but my child isn’t currently sleeping, so that’s why, she admitted.
You leave [the set] at seven and return at seven just for the hours that you are here.
She admitted, “You’ve got to bathe and put your kid to bed, then make your dinner, do your lines for tomorrow, talk to your other half, and then get back and go again.”
However, because Tracy returns with a bang, the actress couldn’t ease back into it.
Moira (Natalie J. Robb) and Cain (Jeff Hordly) learn from Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) that Tracey’s ex-boyfriend Nate (Jurell Carter) is going to the town hall in scenes that will air next week.
They rush off to stop him because they think he’s about to do something stupid and argue for custody of his child Frankie.
They realize Nate is actually going to crash Tracy’s wedding when they see her outside the Registry Office wearing a wedding gown.
Before Nate enters the house, Cain impulsively kidnaps him, knocking him out in the process.
It is evident that this won’t be the end of the matter as a confused Nate circles around in the back of Cain’s van.
