What the former Emmerdale actor Asan N’jie is doing today after leaving ITV
Asan N’jie, a former Emmerdale actor, is currently where?
For a year, Asan N’jie, a former Emmerdale performer, played Ellis Chapman, Jessie Dingle (played by Sandra Marvin), and the late Al Chapman’s (Michael Wildman) son.
This continued up until the 28-year-old was compelled to leave the soap opera after video of Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas dressed as N’Jie at the TV Choice Awards in 2019 surfaced.
After his final scenes were broadcast in October, Aaron Anthony took over as Ellis Chapman and N’jie was replaced.
He continued by professing his regret in front of the public, calling his behaviour “completely unacceptable and wholly out of character.”
N’Jie has landed a role in a future Disney+ film four years later.

The Shepard, a Christmas movie from Disney that will be released later this year, will bring the former Emmerdale star back into the spotlight.
He will appear in the film with none other than John Travolta, Steven Mackintosh from Dalgleigh, and Millie Kent from The Split.
The Shepard is based on Frederick Forsyth’s novel, which tells the tale of a fighter pilot who becomes disoriented while returning home on Christmas Eve.
Since leaving Emmerdale, he has played a few additional roles, though.
Since abruptly departing Emmerdale, Asan has acted with James Nesbitt in Bloodlands on BBC One and in Industry on BBC 2.

N’Jie starred opposite James Nesbitt in the BBC One thriller Bloodlands in 2021.
His appearance in Industry and Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon on BBC Two was similarly rather modest.
He will also be in Fortunes of War, which is now in post-production, according to his IMDb bio.
The Sun stated that a “financial dispute” was the cause of the incident with Lomas at the time.

N’Jie can be heard yelling at Lomas in the video, “Do you think you are a f*g huge man?
You will be fatally f** by me. You will get a f**g knife from me.
In Emmerdale at the time, the actor’s persona took part in a plot involving a knife attack.
