The Inside Soap Awards are back for their 28th ceremony, but who are the nominees this year?
For the 28th consecutive year, the Inside Soap Awards, the only awards show that is entirely determined by viewer votes, will be presented.
Fans can recognize the excellent work of long-running dramas Casualty and Waterloo Road, as well as daytime soaps Home & Away, Doctors, EastEnders, Coronation Street, and Emmerdale.
There are many deserving contenders on this year’s nominees list, ranging from Chesney Brown (played by Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter’s (Dolly-Rose Campbell) dream wedding in Coronation Street to Cindy Beale’s (Michelle Williams) shocking comeback in EastEnders, 25 years later.
In addition to the typical honors like Best Storyline and Best Newcomer, fans are encouraged to nominate their favorite soap opera star for 2023.
Any TV personality who has contributed to their fond memories of the year can be nominated by fans for the new award.

“Every winner of an Inside Soap Award is the best of the best, as they need to triumph in a hugely talented and competitive field,” said Inside Soap magazine’s editor.
“But our Soap Superstar trophy is very much a ‘icons only’ affair — behind the red rope with the real VIPs of Soapland.
“We’re interested in finding out who this year really connected with viewers and left the biggest impression on the screen.
And the reader of Inside Soap is the most discriminating viewer there is.
