An exciting trailer for the upcoming takeover of the Queen Vic by the Carter family, who will be joined by current landlady Linda Carter, has teased the start of a whole new era in EastEnders.
After Mick (Danny Dyer) tragically vanished at sea, Linda (Kellie Bright) asked her mother Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) for assistance. The mother and daughter team then entered into a partnership to run the show’s iconic boozer together.
Linda is unaware that Elaine has been keeping a secret and plans to hire her boyfriend George Knight to manage the tavern in the Square.
Since EastEnders confirmed the Knights’ premiere scenes will take place on June 1, fans have been anticipating their entrance with bated breath. Now, the soap has pleased viewers with a little teaser trailer, previewing what’s to come.
Linda is perplexed by the presence of the Knight family, as we anticipate would be the case in the television series, but Elaine beams broadly as she welcomes lover George, portrayed by Colin Salmon, a star of Arrow and Doctor Who, and his daughters Anna and Gina.
The group stands in front of soap operaland’s most renowned bar with dog Tyson with Elaine and Linda as they usher in a new era for EastEnders.

Consider us incredibly excited.
When the BBC One serial opera unveiled future plans for the Vic after Danny Dyer left, Colin, who also appeared in Bad Girls, was confirmed to be joining earlier this year.
I’m ecstatic to be joining the EastEnders cast and playing George Knight,’ he exclaimed. Being an East End native myself, I’m eager to learn more about George, a true gentleman of the neighborhood.

“I have a strong connection to and love for the show, and I am looking forward to contributing to its illustrious legacy.”
Meanwhile, Elaine made her triumphant return to Walford last week. Harriet Thorpe, who replaced Maria Friedman as the new landlady, discreetly initiated the entrance of George, who Linda is now unaware of.
But starting next month, everything will change.
