Adam Thomas, a star of Strictly Come Dancing, made his ITV soap opera debut as Adam Barton in 2009.
Adam Thomas, a contestant this year, will likely be remembered by many Strictly Come Dancing viewers for his long-running role as Adam Barton in Emmerdale.
The actor joined the ITV soap opera in 2009 and spent almost ten years in the village, with his final episode airing in 2018.
After escaping from prison with the aid of Cain and Aaron Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle), Adam won the hearts of soap opera viewers and left them all in shock when he left.
The character was on his way to France when fans last heard from him, but it now appears that he might someday come back.
The 35-year-old was asked by Lorraine Kelly earlier this year if he would be content to return to the village due to unfinished business.

“The cast and the actors that work there, they’re just incredible,” he retorted, “are what I miss the most.
“You really do grow into such a big family; I miss them all so much. Never say never; I would dearly love to return.
“If the story was true, then yes, without a doubt. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for it.
The actor continued by telling Lorraine that he still keeps in touch with Danny Miller and Kelvin Fletcher, two of his coworkers from his time on the program.

Kevin won the Glitterball back in 2019, so it appears that Adam may be asking his former Emmerdale co-star for some Strictly advice.
Adam is one of 15 celebrities competing in the current season of the BBC dance competition in the hopes of succeeding Hamza Yassin as the next champion.
Les Dennis, Annabel Croft, Nigel Harman, Bobby Brazier, and Jody Cundy are among the other celebrities competing.
Additionally competing are Ellie Leach, Nikita Kanda, Angela Rippon, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Amanda Abbington, Layton Williams, Angela Scanlon, Eddie Kadi, and Zara McDermott.

Adam expressed his excitement about participating in the program in the following way: “I am so excited to be joining the cast of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
“I can’t believe I’m actually doing it! I’ve been such a big fan of the show for years!”
“I can’t dance to save my life, but I’m excited to learn from my pro and have a good time. Bring me to the dance floor. I am so excited.
